Are you interested in visiting new places, in a curious way? Visiting them while connecting with the local people and culture? Giving back to the host community? Learning some of the local language through conversation and shared activities?

Are you interested in sharing your culture, language or experiences with others? Would you like to practice a specific language, learn words or vocabulary for a particular topic, or be able to have a basic conversation in another language?

This Spring, we are looking for participants and partners. Could this be you?

• Do you enjoy making genuine connections and helping others?
• Would you like to be involved in responsible travel?
• Are you interested in taking part in volunteering initiatives that are important to the host country or community?
• Are you content enjoying the basic things in life?
• Are you prepared to help out with whatever needs doing?

We are looking for people with an interest in getting to know new places on a deeper level, conversational language practice, or sharing the places they know and love. Or both! We are also interested to hear from people who can offer homestays, community volunteer initiatives or social projects that benefit host communities.

Participation is based around the following:

• This is a shared experience — not a tour or guiding service, although some coordination is involved.
• 1-1 or small groups (4-8 people) with common interests
• Participants and hosts decide the focus (e.g. outdoors, nature, cultural heritage, food)
• Participants cover the costs of their own travel, and those of staying with hosts where possible.
• Donations to cover basic expenses, and to welfare projects, social and environmental initiatives in host countries are accepted and appreciated.
• It is intended this will be an active, hands-on, not-for-profit experience.
